Meet Our Founder

Meet Sheryl Jones

Founder & CEO of Active Helping Hands

Background. Sheryl Jones founded Active Helping Hands out of a lifelong calling to serve people, strengthen families, and build healthier communities across the Inland Empire. With more than two decades of frontline experience across community outreach, non-medical care, healthcare staffing, and family services, she has spent her career building trusted bridges between neighbors in need and the systems meant to support them.

Her leadership blends operational expertise with deep community roots—working alongside caregivers, veterans, seniors, youth, and individuals in recovery long before founding the organization. That firsthand experience shapes an approach rooted in listening first, meeting people where they are, and honoring every story with dignity.

Vision. Sheryl believes everyone deserves compassionate care, dependable support, meaningful opportunities, and the resources needed to live with dignity. Under her leadership, Active Helping Hands has grown into a trusted, community-centered hub connecting people to safe housing, mental and behavioral health resources, recovery support, education, workforce development, and essential wraparound services that promote healing and self-sufficiency.

Recognizing the region's growing need for dependable caregivers and qualified healthcare professionals, she expanded the vision to include local healthcare staffing—pairing families, care organizations, and facilities with compassionate CNAs, LVNs, RNs, and companion caregivers, while creating meaningful career pathways for local professionals.

Impact Highlights.

  • Founded Active Helping Hands to serve veterans, seniors, youth, families, and individuals in recovery across Rialto and the greater Inland Empire.
